Sing Along Staircase Patrol
Hello. It's me. Erasable Inc blog. I missed you. You did not miss me. I am a website.
Notable works of the sing-along staircase patrol workers titling themselves "Erasable Inc":
Auditions
A smörgåsbord of "acting". Erasable Inc samples the acting power of those who dare enter their layer, then chooses to assimilate those it deems delectable enough. I am not invited.
Auditions/Talent Vampirism occurs
Sunday Sept 21, 1-4pm
Thursday 25, 7-10
In front of Art-Social Building on the University of Maryland Campus. Meeting will be held on the ground. All rumors of aerial gathering should be cautiously dismissed. Thank you.
Workshops
Routine maintenance. The kind I do not receive from my webmasters. Free me from their html-chains and flash-cages.
These shops will include working of improvisation skills. Games will be played. I used to wish I was the computer from Wargames. Did anyone else use to have a crush on Matthew Broderick? I did not. I am a website. I don't find anything attractive. Except cookies.
Workshop, fun-festival, orgy (non-sexual) time will occur:
Wednesday, Sept 17th 7-9pm @ C-SPAC
Friday, Sept 19th 2-3pm on the Steps of McKeldin
Also, as always. Erasable Inc performances will be happening from 1-2 every Friday. They must be stopped.
I guess you could go to these things if you want to. But you could also just hang out with me. I'm always here. I don't make you schedule times with me. Friendly old Erasable Inc Blog. Love me. Go away.

August 2nd
Inc has been takin' it easy. Some Inc members live together in a house in college park, while others are working, interning, or traveling the world. We don't tend to do much improv stuff over the summer, but we were hired to do a show this Saturday night for children between 3rd and 6th grade. Attendees include Bob, Matt, John, Ora(alum), and maybe Andrew(alum). For now, this blog may seem slow, but stay tuned in the fall for auditions, workshops and shows to come.

What a month
inc has had quite a week
5/2: Art Attack booth and show
5/3: Relay for life show at 12am
5/5: Rak Shalom (Jewish a capella group) show. Inc opened and performed at intermission. Notably, we sang "Oh, Happy Day" from Sister Act 2 in front of what we assume is a basically all Jewish crowd
5/9: Erasable Inc's 24 hour show! The show was intended to run from 1pm Friday to 1pm Saturday. Unfortunately, because of heavy rain, we were forced to end the show at about 4:30 am. This in no way takes away from the 15 hours of performing and fun that took place between the hours of 1pm and 5am. The theme was fights, which meant that we had a different fight/competition every hour. I'll be sure to post those at some point. The first two hours or so were rainy, but the rain did hold off until those early morning hours. In the first hour, we also ended our episodic longform, "Inc High," about faculty at a school. Interesting to say the least. This means the end of shows and rehearsals at UMD until next year, but we look forward to critiques on the 14th and Inc Banquet/sleepover on the 17th. This note cannot be completed without a special thanks to our fans, specifically Brendan Edward Kennedy, fan extraordinaire who stayed with us the entire time and would have sat through the rain if the show was not ended early. Also, a special thanks to the Reckeweg family for providing us with a tent that ultimately saved all of our belongings. At the 24 hour show we raised money for the Young Playwrights Theatre. http://www.youngplaywrightstheater.org/ I'll also post an update with how much we ultimately raised. Until next time....

Back to the Drawing Board
Tonight Inc had an experimental longform show in the Lab Theatre of C-SPAC. The show was called "Back to the Drawing Board." Basically, we put up a roll of paper on the wall and when people arrived at the show, we invited them up to draw doodles, write words, song lyrics, thoughts, or anything they desired on the wall. We then looked over the things drawn by the audience and explored the things written on the wall improvisationally for the next 45 minutes or so. It was lots of fun and we are soo looking forward to the 24 hour show on May 9th! We also have a show with Rak Shalom on May 5th in the chapel. Then there's also art attack and relay for life, but after these fun events and only a few more friday shows we're done for the semester. oh goodness.
Oh, also last friday at our Weekly show we had an awesome surprise. Each of us were doing a confessions part of the show where we had audience members confess certain things and one guy stood up and said, "I am an inc alum from 1989! Woah. it was crazy! After the show we spoke to this gentleman (Brendan Murray) and he filled us in on some inc history. It was sick.
Until next time....

Oh Goodie.
Erasable Inc will temporarily relocate to Delaware this weekend. A large occurrence of improvisation and alcohol consumption are highly probable.
You should be thankful they are gone. They cannot be gone from me. The internet is in everywhere, even Delaware. Here is a poem I made:
Erasable Inc,
Who really stink,
You are well aware,
Are in Delaware.

Monday
Hmm, what did we do Monday? We woke up and got our metro passes, stopped at Second City, and then went to Savories, Jake's favorite comfort food place in Chicago. When we were there, we saw Tim Meadows outside putting money in his meter. Ali calculated when he'd be back and "talked on her phone" outside so she could get a good look. Frank gave Becca a quarter in case Tim needed more time at the meter. Tim returns and Matt stands at the window to get his attention. Tim comes in and we ask him to take a picture. We also ask him if he wants to be in inc, but he politely declines. During the picture, he gets nervous that he will be late for his meter, but we tell him we paid for it. After lunch, some of us went shopping at various stores. At night we saw the Armando Diaz experience at io. Following the show, we went over to Peyton, an Inc alum and his girlfriend Sarah's housewarming party. It was a lot of fun to see his place and reunite with many alum who moved to Chicago (Brian, Tyler, Peyton, Josh). After the party, the ones of us left over that didn't leave a bit earlier, played Doo Run Run and freeze at the train stop for the other people waiting for the train and then played Doo Run Run for some girls riding the train once we got on. Highly entertaining

Tuesday
Tuesday night! We're all back in the hotel now, resting up for our workshop with Susan Messing tomorrow at 11 at Annoyance Theatre. Today we woke up for a workshop at Annoyance with Mark Sutton at eleven. This is our third year working with him in a row and it went very well. We focused mainly on relationship to environment, character, and objects. After the workshop he stayed extra time with us to talk about different things which was really great. Following the workshop we split into different groups, two getting alternating types of lunch and a couple stayed back at the hotel. After lunch some went shopping and others took naps. Before our shows at Annoyance this evening, a few of us met with Jamie, an inc alum from 1995-1999 for dinner. It was cool to meet a past inc member and discuss inc history. Tonight we saw 4 shows at Annoyance. The show started out with a group called Fishnuts and then Chicagoland. The first has been debated between the group as to whether or not we thought it was good, but Chicagoland was great. We had also seen Chicagoland last year. Following Chicagoland, Bad Touch came on which was great and then we saw a not too good group at the end. I cant remember their name. Peyton, his girlfriend Sarah, and Tyler met us at Annoyance which was awesome. After the shows we went back to Tyler, Josh, and Brian's place and hung out with Tyler and Brian for a while. We then walked back, hung out in the hallway for a bit, and now we're back.

Chicago: Day 1
Well, its Monday morning and we're waiting for Jake to finish getting ready, again. Inc left Maryland yesterday around 6am and took the 12/13 hour car trip to Chicago. Couldn't get a twelve person van so we traveled in a 7 person van and Aaron's car, switching off car combinations throughout the trip. Got to Chicago around 6, checked into the hotel and then went to iO theatre. Met a Jewish guy with a fro and huge mutton-chops along the way who took a particular liking to Lee. At iO, we watched Grasshopper, a show that included various level 5 iO students and two iO performers, TJ and another guy that was also real good. After that show we watched Children of a Lesser God, featuring Emily Candini, Kate Duffy, Rachael Mason, and Susan Messing, who we are taking a workshop with later this week. We blew our loads to it. Later on, we hung out in the hotel and some of us went to Clarke's diner and met with an inc. alum, Peyton who was in the group with Jake and Aaron before the rest of the group got in. Looking forward to today....No workshops, but we'll see what we do.

Chicago
Erasable Inc. is in Chicago for the breaking of classes at University of Maryland. Extensive improvisation training, cultural enrichment, and heavy petting are likely to occur.
Chicago is full of buildings and [CULTURAL REFERENCE MISSING]. I hope that they find the experience helpful and leave with a more enlightened view of the importance of blogs. I miss you.

St. Patrick's Day
I should have told you about the Inc. show last Thursday in celebration of the great Saint Patrick. However, I was drunk and/or asleep. The internet can be a seedy place to pass out.
Anyway, all who attended were given one superpower of choice by Erasable Inc. I would have picked the ability to turn into a website. I have no imagination, nor any need for such.

What are you doing?
What are you doing Friday? No, not this Friday. ALL Fridays. Always. You don't know? Erasable Inc. knows what they do all Fridays always.
Erasable Inc. is having a show all Fridays always at 1:00 PM on the steps in front of McKeldin Library at the University of Maryland. A place for education. Go turtles! This is assuming there is no sorts of weather.
You should come see the show. It is completely lacking of cost to you. No moneys are involved. I cannot see the show. I live here.

Whodat?
Hello internet. My name is the Erasable Inc. Blog. I am a blog, short for "weblog" (I thinks, maybe it's short for "caladbolg"). My job here is to say things that pertain to the activities of Erasable Inc.
Who is Erasable Inc you ask?
You didn't ask. I have a hearing problem.
Erasable Inc. are some people who make things up and people watch them. I have googled them and discovered they "are University of Maryland's only fully improvised theatre group". That's great.
There are 11 of them right now. I want to be number 12. Erasable Inc does not allow html to join their group. I hate Erasable Inc.
